A Pair of Mid-Century Sunburst Chairs by Janine Abraham & Dirk Jan Rol

A pair of striking rattan chairs by the c20th design team Janine Abraham and Dirk Jan Rol. The two designers formed their design agency in the late 1950’s in France and created chic, clever pieces which are now iconic examples of mid-century design. These Sunburst chairs are incredibly eye catching and quite sculptural. They look good from every angle and could work in any room. The rattan strips are perfectly placed to fan out and provide a comfortable seat which sits on a tubular steel base. They are in a very good stable condition showing some signs of their age with a few marks on the frames and wear to the binding cane.
