This beautiful small bench seat was originally designed circa 1905 by the American designer Charles P Limbert. He championed handmade craftsmanship, simplicity of form and minimally decorated surfaces. His work stands as an important part of the American Arts and Crafts movement; he did however take inspiration from European designers including Charles Rennie Mackintosh. You can clearly see this in the cut sides of this design. This seat was made in the 1980’s by a master cabinet maker. It is in great condition with a only a few signs of age i.e lightening of the wood colour. The cushion can be placed on or off. It has it’s original Kilim fabric.
