This chair perfectly and simply embodies the aesthetics of Mid-Century design. It combines natural and industrial materials with a sleek minimalist style. The strong, straight, squared edges and angles are softened by the curved arms and curved back. It was designed in the 1960s by the prominent designer Robert Heal to compliment the Staples Ladderax storage system. The leather is held in place as a sling seat by strong rope. The frame is black coated steel. It is in good condition, the leather had gained obvious changes to it's colour and finish over time. No rips or deep cracks, just surface fine lines typically caused by aging and flexing. The frame has some tiny losses of paint which can only really been seen on close inspection.
As this is a larger, heavy item, it can be picked up from the HoMV studio in N15 or delivered by a courier. We are happy to help get a cost and arrange a courier. Contact us to discuss delivery.
