A rare set of six elegant mid-century dining chairs in the style of Gio Ponti. They are made with ebonised wooden frames and seagrass/ rope seats. The tapering frames and fine weave make them super stylish, light and airy looking. They do show signs of age and use. The black finish has worn away in places and has chips and scrapes. One chair in particular has more loss of paint (see photos). The seat parts are in very good condition. They are stable and strong although inherently a little delicate. They have some give in the frame to accommodate a sitter. If you don't mind the signs of age and see them as authentic character and charm, then these chairs are a fantastic vintage find.
