Impasto means thickly applied, i.e, the oil paint is so thickly applied that the brush or palette knife marks can be seen along with a 3D texture to the painting. It is a beautiful quality and the colours have been skillfully chosen. The frame is original and shows some age. The signature is difficult to make out.
