The Costes Chair by Philippe Starck

These chairs were originally designed in the 1980’s by Philippe Starck for the ‘Cafe Costes’ in Paris. Starck carefully thought about cafe chairs that were both functional and stylish. The smooth, rounded surfaces are easy to brush pass, the tripod legs are less likely to be tripped over and the seats are comfy and warm. The fabulous curved wooden shape surrounds a padded leather seat which sits upon a black steel frame. This pair of chairs are in a stable, solid condition with a few nicks, marks and places were the veneer has come off. Buy the pair together or buy one, it is a great Starck design to have and hold.
