Fineline Desk by John and Sylvia Reid for Stag
A very stylish, modernist design by John and Sylvia Reid for Stag Furniture. This desk was designed as part of the 'Fineline' range in the 1950s. It is a rare part of the range and now perfect for working from home in the C21st. The handles are beautifully styled aluminium, and the surfaces a lovely striped oak grain. The touch of black at the bottom and on the metal legs is very clever and grounds the piece perfectly. This desk has been lightly taken back and re oiled on the top, it does show signs of wear and tear including a few chips along the bottom side and back edges plus a small brown faded ink mark. It does have real character and is a brilliant piece by John and Sylvia Ried to have. As this is a larger piece it will need to be picked up from the shop or delivered by a courier.
